- bruised my left hand and wrist
- sprained my left ankle
- scraped up my right shin
- scuffed up my favorite Dr Martins AND
- severally harmed my ego
My neighbor from across the street was outside and came rushing over to help. I sat on the steps while she picked up my stuff. I had been carrying:
- my purse
- a water bottle
- my dinner--I was running late for work--in it's fancy Walmart shopping bag
- a folder with work stuff in it AND
- Abbey's shoes--which she had refused to put on
The neighbor also helped me put Abbey's shoes on her--funny how Abbey didn't scream and run away from the neighbor like she did for me about 3 minutes earlier when I tried to get them on her.
I then still had to:
- get Abbey to sit down in her car-seat
- drive Abbey to daycare
- drop her off
- drive to work
- walk into my office AND
- attend a meeting...
All without crying...
I cried the entire way to way to work!
Call me klutz!

Wait, is this a story about you or ME? Sounds like something I would totally do!!
When stuff like that happens it's hard for me to know if I should laugh or cry, and I usually do both.
I love that you blogged it!
Something like that would definitely make me cry. I'm sorry that you wrecked your shoes (and ego). At least you weren't running...right, A?
I cried reading this because it sounds just like one of my days! We all have them so don't let it bruise your ego. And yeah...sorry about the shoes. NOT cheap shoes to ruin. Glad you didn't break any bones.
Sheri, I´m sorry you fell. At least you didn´t break your wrist because Eric had cleaned the carpets in effort to kill you. Maybe you can get some shoe polish (or dark furniture polish) to cover the scrapes.
Glad to hear that I am not the only one to do klutzy things!
