Christmas Day

Merry Christmas!
The nice thing about Abbey still being small this Christmas is that she slept through the night without waking up all night excited to see if Santa came. Instead of waking up at 5am, we woke up around 8:30am, opened gifts and then had a nice big breakfast cooked by Eric. Abbey got some great gifts this year including more books, a "baby" (a Cabbage Patch Doll), clothes and this Little People zoo that included an animal for every letter of the alphabet. The zoo also includes a spot for every animal. When you push down, the animal's spot will say the animals name, the letter associated with that animal and the noise the animal makes. Abbey especially likes the monkey's noise--probably because it sounds just like the monkey noises her daddy makes when they read her animal books together.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve Abbey got to open her PJs from Grandma and Grandpa Zimmerman and wear a pair to bed. She is sad because we are making her sit still so she can have her picture taken.

After opening her PJs Abbey got to open one other gift Christmas Eve.

A book! Abbey loves books, especially books with animals. This book has pictures of all kinds of animals and insects. Abbey's favorite picture in this book is of the bee because whenever she points at it Mommy or Daddy will buzz like a bee for her.

Not a Baby Anymore

Taken December 23rd, this picture shows just how grown up Abbey is getting. She's still our "squirmy wormy"--it took about 10 pictures before we got one of the two us that worked. Eric and I tried to do a family photo at the same time but Abbey just wouldn't sit still. Yet another reason why we haven't updated our family photo in the last year.
