Happy Birthday Eric!

To celebrate Eric's birthday I thought I'd share 31 random things about him that you've always wanted to know but were too embarrassed to ask.

31. Eric was born October 15, 1977 in Arizona to James Robert Klein and Janet Lynne Mower Klein Seethaller Woolsey [back to Seethaller].

30. Eric sucked his thumb as a child. [Got to love a thumb sucker!]
29. Eric is artistic. [He often kept his siblings entertained during Sacrament Meeting by drawing them pictures. Wish he'd do the same for me now.]
28. Eric (as you can see from the picture above) is left-handed. [Please don't hold this against him. He is surprisingly well adjusted despite this malady.]

27. He has 7 brothers and 3 sisters. [I know. That's a lot.]

26. Eric shares the same middle name as 3 of his brothers: Richard James, Melvin James and Matthew James. One of his brothers has Eric's middle name as his first name: James Robert (which is also Eric's father's name). [Weird, but whatever.]

25. Recently Eric has had to start sleeping with two pillowcases on his pillow--this is to ensure that when he wakes up he still has at least one pillowcase still on his pillow. [Don't ask me to explain. It would take too long.]

24. Eric rarely remembers his dreams. [Annoying really because I like to swap dreams.]

23. He served a full-time mission to the Montana Billings Mission; he paid for his entire mission on his own. [This is still one thing I'm most proud of--and he's not even my kid.]

22. Eric is naturally bald. [Oops, I meant blond.]
21. One of my favorite things about Eric is his sense of humor. [He really is never serious. Did you see the picture above?]

20. Eric does a great job helping around the house. He does laundry AND dishes. [That's probably why I've kept him around as long as I have.]

19. Eric is a lot more patient with me then I am with him. Very rarely does he start an argument [on purpose].

18. Growing up Eric lived in Arizona, Washington state, Oregon and Utah. He attended 3 different high schools. [Yeah, I would hate that too.]

17. Eric is a handy-man. He just fixed our dryer and replaced the furnace and the dishwasher. He also done a huge list of other things around our house. [This is both a good thing and a bad thing. For like a day I thought I could talk him into a new dryer. No such luck.]

16. Before marrying me, Eric was a cautious driver with little inclination towards road rage. [Now? Not so much.]

15. For the most part Eric is laid back and easygoing. There are only two instances where this is not the case: when we're getting ready to leave on vacation or if we're moving. [I hope I never move again!]

14. Eric is a great dad. He is more then helpful with Abbey. He has no problem taking her with him where ever he goes and has been known to argue TO change the 'dirty' diapers. [Really this is only when Abbey insists that I change her--then he insists that he do it to prove to her he can do it just as good as mom. Which we know he can't.]

13. Eric is shy. [And frankly, he's sick of people telling him he needs to change this about himself. What difference does it make?]

12. Growing up Eric's mom and step-dad told him (and his siblings) that he (they) was allergic to all kinds of things--milk and sugar were the big things. [That's all I'll say about that!]

11. Eric broke his ankle skiing. [His step-dad had him using a broken ski.]

10. Eric enjoys hiking. [Oh yeah, he's not laid back about hiking either.]

9. For about two days, Eric had a pet squirrel. [And was sad when it died.]
8. In 2005 Eric graduated from Boise State University with an Associates Degree. [That I paid for! J/K]

7. When Eric and I were planning our wedding the only thing he had an opinion about was where we got married--he refused to be married in the Provo Temple. [I don't think he's had an opinion about anything since. OK. That was just mean.]

6. One of Eric's greatest qualities is that he tries very hard to stay out of the middle of other people's business. He was once asked by a friend what he (Eric) thought he (the friend) should do with regards to a marital issue. While Eric had an opinion about what the friend should do he did a great job letting the friend make his own decision. [Great quality, right? It was a little aggravating when I thought he should tell the friend his opinion. Looking back he did the right thing.]

5. When Eric and I first started dating he was the favorite sibling. [Might have had something to do with the fact that he'd only been home from his mission for about a week.]

4. Eric wears at least two pairs of socks a day. [Drives me crazy!]

3. Eric probably has to wear two different pairs of socks a day because he has very wide feet. [After being married for about 8 years I finally told him one night I didn't like them. Nice aren't I? Don't answer that.]

2. Eric is a great listener! He lets me vent all the time without complaint. [Kind of hard to complain when you can't get a word in edge-wise.]

1. Eric is a hot, sexy man and I love him more then anything in the world!
Happy Birthday Eric! [He actually doesn't read my blog, but if he did he'd know I love him a TON!]
