20 Weeks!

I've made it half way! Baby now weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now and is also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana.

The most exciting news: we found out we're having another girl. Now comes the fun part: figuring out what to name Baby Girl Klein. Here are some names we (OK, just me) have thought of so far: Lilly, Bailey and Saddie. Any suggestions?

While I'm very rarely nauseous now and have finally stopped dry-heaving (cross your fingers) I have moved into the 'uncomfortable' stage. I have fewer options of pants that fit comfortably and sleeping comfortably is difficult.

Because my hips are now often out of alignment I find myself dealing with sciatic nerve pain that wakes me up at night or causes me to almost fall down when I take a step. Ouch! (I had to go to physical therapy after having Abbey for this very problem and so I know a couple of things I can do to help, but they only work for so long.) Lucky for me it will get worse before it gets better.

Thank goodness my new recliner came is so I'll have a place to sleep once I'm too uncomfortable for the bed!

Bummer about your sciatic nerve. When I pulled my lower back muscle (a few years ago) I had back pain that would wake me up at night. It was the worst! I hope you're able to manage the pain.

I like the names you listed, especially Lilly.

I like those names, but would spell them differently: Lily and Sadie. Bailey I'd keep the same. I like them all!

Are we limited to names that end with the "ee" sound? Here's a suggestion: Kety. Yep, that's a name--but I've only heard it here in Peru, where mothers LOVE to name their kids American-sounding names. But they just don't get the spelling.

I have a suggestion. Look up online the most popular 10 female names over the past 5 years and DON'T name her any of them! The world doesn't need more girls named Emily, Isabella, Emma, Eva, Madison, Sophia, Olivia, Abigail (but the world could use more Abbey's!), Hannah, or Elizabeth--just to name the top 10 from 2007. Lily at #27 is okay. Sadie and Bailey didn't even make the top 100, so they're okay. Actually, my favorite of these three is Lily--or however you want to spell it.

So excited for baby LILY (my vote). So sorry about your discomfort but I'm glad to hear you understand the worse-before-better concept but also that things will get BETTER...eventually.

I like the name Lilly, but I'm with Andrea I would spell it Lily. Either way it's just so cute. I wonder if I had problems with my sciatic nerve too. After having Gabe I had a lot of pain in my left hip which made it painful to walk. So sorry that you have to go through that!

Lilly gets my vote too. Sadie seems too connected to Sadie Hawkins day for my taste. Bailey doesn't seem to fit with Klein as well as the others. Hope you're feeling better.

Aren't you about due for an update? Surely that embryo has done something interesting during the past three to four weeks!

All your name ideas are cute. I'm also a particular fan of Lily (sorry, I'm with Andrea and Melissa on the spelling issue). Good luck on the sleeping thing and all that other discomfort. I'm right there with you!
