Conversation with Abbey

Abbey's vocabulary is increasing every day and more and more she's putting words into sentences. It's so much fun to hear her talk. Today I had the following conversation with her on the way to work and thought I'd share:

Abbey: "What that, Mom?"
Sheri: "Um, I don't know Abbey, what is it?"
A: "What that, Mom?"
S: "I don't know Abbey. You'll have to tell Mom."
A: "Booger nose."
S: (Looking in the rear-view mirror I see a big booger on Abbey's finger.) "Yep, looks like you have a booger nose. Let me get you a wet wipe." (I hand her a wipe.)
A: "That goss, Mom."
S: "Yep, Abbey, you're right, that is gross."
A: "That goss, Mom. Abbey booger nose."
Pause.
A: "Baby on!" (This means she wants to listen to "I am a child of God" again. [It is the first song on the DVD I put together of pictures of her as a baby, hence "Baby".])
S: "How do you ask?"
A: "Pease."
Pause.
A: "What doin' Mom?"
S: "Driving to see the kids." (Kids, meaning daycare.)
A: "What doin' Mom?"
S: "Driving to see the kids Abbey."
A: "Ruby's house?"
S: "Yep."
A: "Aidan?..."
S: "Yep. Who else?"
She then lists off all the kids in daycare, including herself.
Pause.
A: "Baby on!"
S: "How do you ask?"
A: "Pease."
I rewind the CD.
Pause.
A: "Where water go?" (Meaning the river.)
S: "It's behind the trees."
A: "Water go down dain?"
S: "Something like that."
Thinking.
A: "Where water go?"
S: "You can't see it anymore because it's behind the trees."
Long pause...
A: "Booger nose goss Mom."
S: "Yep, it is gross. Use a wipe."
A: "What doin' Mom?"

It goes on like this for the next 20 minutes. It's cute but sometimes a little maddening. Gotta love her!
