- 'Clean up.' Which she normally sings along with me when I'm trying to get her to pick up her toys
- 'Where Mommy?' or 'Where Daddy?' This is one of my favorites. I normally hear her asking Eric "Where Mommy?" while he's getting her ready for bed and I'm already in bed--because of my early schedule.
- 'No way.' This is not my favorite and I'm sure she picked it up from the other kids at daycare.
- 'Go away.' Again, a phrase Abbey picked up from the kids at daycare--I'm not entirely sure she understands what it means.
- 'All done.' Normally if Abbey's eating she'll tell us "All done" only to continue to keep eating. Sometimes I actually think she's saying it as a question to us "All done?"
- 'Hi baby' or other variations: 'Hi puppy' (to the dogs next door or in her books) or 'Hi Abbey' (to Eric and me--she also picked this one up at daycare and hasn't quite figured out she is Abbey and should be saying the name of the person she's saying hi to). Simalarly she also says: 'Bye puppy'.

Abbey's Phrases
Abbey is quickly learning new words and combining the words she already knows. Here are a few of the two-word phrases she says regularly:

Such cute use of words.
Unfortunately, kids grow up, learn "correct" word usage, a lose there baby/toddler selves forever. You can't ever get it back.
Fortunately, kids do grow up, because child rearing is--let's face it--one of the most difficult tasks on earth.
I like "bye bye puppy." If Skylar said that she'd say it while screaming her head off--she HATES dogs. I took dinner over to a family a few nights ago and Skylar came in with me. She saw their dog and tried to jump into my arms but I couldn't grab her because I still had all the food in my arms. The owner had to take the dog into the garage and Skylar didn't stop screaming until the dog was out of sight!
My favorite phrase is "go away." Okay, not really. Grace said that phrase for awhile, mostly while we were in the car and she was throwing a fit she would yell "go away mom." Abbey seems like she is talking so much! I wish I could hear her.
Wow..she sounds like such a good talker. As much as I don't like hearing some of the things little kids pick up from daycare (like "go away"), I'm just happy that Xavier is saying anything at all! Maybe it's a boy thing??? Anyway, she sounds cute and I can't wait to see her this summer.
